The first moment I met Vanessa and Luigi, I knew they were going to be a special couple. And indeed they are!! They are very interesting and beautiful people !! I met them last month for their e-session at the Bowers Museum in Orange County, California, as this was the stage for their very first date about three years ago. What a gorgeous and interesting venue for photos !! Here are a few photos from our day. I look forward to their wedding in December at the Noreiga House in Bakersfield.

Great classic photos. I’m sure the couple will cherish them for a lifetime.
I love these photos! They bring out who you both are, lovely, playful, thoughtful…fun!!
These photos truly capture the love between Luigi and Vanessa! You are a beautiful couple -and I, too, love those shoes
Fantastic photography!
What a great mix of photos. Vanessa and Luigi must be delighted with them
I love the shoe shot!
Many people have been asking where in the heck I have been this last month….Well, lemme tell you – I just returned from a trip to Indiana where I spent most of the month of July visiting family and friends !! I was born and raised and attended college in Indiana. So returning there once every year or two is good for the soul !!The trip started with a phenomenal house boat trip with my old, old friend, Lynda and her kinfolk to Jamestown Resort in southern KY. It was a blast !! This boat had 6 bedrooms !!! The best thing about the boat trip besides the sun, relaxation and crazy fun people were the fresh vegetables !!! Yummy !!! We had garden fresh green beans almost every meal !! I still think about them on a daily basis – LOL …..Then is was on to spend time with some family. I visited my brother, Joe, in Bloomington next where his band, “Kara and the Jammers”, played an awesome gig at the Scholars Inn. More on that in the next blog post….My niece Melanie played the lead female role in “Seusical” in a summer theatre camp in her town. She is an incredible singer and only 10 years old !!! I had the privilege of checking out my nephew, Vinny during his karate lesson. This kid is one step away from a jr black belt !!! I also loved hanging out with my brother Brandon and sister-in-law, Tabby. We would sit out late at night, catch up on life, and watch the thunderstorms !! I miss thunderstorms some times …Being with Candy, Tony & Maribelle was a blessing too. Candy is one of the best cooks on the planet !!! One night we had grilled porkchops, grilled eggplant, tomatoes with mozarella and fresh basil from their garden…MMMMMMMMMMMMMM Then one night she made special meatballs and sauce, and gave me the secret receipe while she was making it….I can’t wait to try it at home. Maybe I can impress Dave this weekend with a batch
I also had the sincere blessing of seeing my grandmother, who is 94 (thank you Larry & Nancy !!). She is in a nursing home now. I’m so incredibly blessed to have known her as long as I have. She has always been and always will be my saving grace. Although it was very, very difficult seeing her at this stage in her life, I’m so very glad I did. Oohh…and there were more fun things….too many to mention…the long and short of it is that it was a very blessed time.

Nice guitar shot!
Love the photos of them jumping into the water.
I had and awesome time at my brother, Joe’s gig, at the Scholars Inn on Friday, July 16th in Bloomington, Indiana !! He is an incredible musican/guitarist. Joe has been playing over a decade with his pianist, Steven Bergdall. He recently added a drummer, Trevor Heining, and soloist, Kara. Joe and Steven have recently come out with a new CD of awesome jazz music entitled, “Gentleness.” My sister-in-law, Hillary and I enjoyed a great meal and incredible wine as we enjoyed the amazing sound of Kara and the Jammers !!

Last week I attended Jerry’s workshop in Vancouver. If you are a photog….you know who I am talking about !! It was tremendous !! We covered posing, lighting, posing, business, posing, marketing, and posing. Did I mention posing ? Jerry was very generous in sharing information, and equally generous in helping everyone in the group one-on-one many times throughout the workshop. I was very blessed to also meet the other photographers, mostly from Canada. A great group !!! And….it’s true….Jerry is an incredible singer
