If you are attending the Ultimate Bridal Event this Sunday, January 10th at Rabobank Arena, stop by and see me at booth #44. I’ll have album samples, large wall portrait samples, lots of small prints from weddings and engagements from the last couple of years and an awesome giveaway to one lucky bride. Europhoria Spa in Bakersfield donated a package valued at $185 to include tanning, steam room scrub and mud visit and a nutrition analysis to include one week of free food !! Thank you Europhoria for this generous donation !

Lacie & Spencer Portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Lacie & Spencer last week for their portrait session. I’ve known Lacie since she was in 4th grade. There are so many things I could say about Lacie, as she has grown up to be a beautiful, smart, optimistic, and ambitious young lady. She is pursuing a nursing degree currently, and I know will be one of the best nurses around in a few years !! Spencer, a strikingly handsome young man, is a top notch musician, particuluary a drummer. I’ve seen him perform in local places in Las Vegas, and I can say he is a phenomenal drummer. Any band would be at a loss not adding Spencer to their repertoire. What a gorgeous couple, huh ? Enjoy…..

Student Photoshop Work

Most of you know that I teach classes at a local high school during the day. My favorite class is my Photoshop class. For their end of semester project, these kids had to create a movie poster from scratch. It could be a real movie, or a fictious one, incorporating several Photoshop techniques learned since August. I was so pleased in how they turned out, that I had to share !….enjoy !

Mike Patterson - I wish I had this when I was at school, it would have been soooo cool, nicely done!!December 26, 2009 - 11:42 pm

Jim - This is excellent work! From looking at this i can tell that these kids have a bright future ahead of them if they stick with it!December 21, 2009 - 5:53 am

Angie’s Christmas Party Portraits

I was very grateful for the invitation from Angie to capture family moments at her Christmas gathering this year. It was through Angie’s Artist Way workshops ( www.anjlart.com), in which I participated in 4 years ago, that birthed the spirit of creativity in me. The result of this new birth lead to the start of my photography business. On a different note, I don’t usually show a whole set of black and whites from one session on my blog, but I loved these so here they are……enjoy!

James Brown - Very lovely work, as always! Well done :)February 26, 2010 - 7:21 pm

Deann - The pic of Angie and her grandbaby is priceless, both expressions are adorable and timeless!!December 18, 2009 - 7:35 am

This portait session with Leslie & Ray was so fun. What a gorgeous couple !! They live in Las Vegas and was in Bakersfield over the Thanksgiving weekend, so that gave us the chance to meet up. They are both amazing kids !!! I’ve know Leslie since she was in junior high, and I know her to be a very intelligent and confident young woman. Ray is an aspiring musician.
